The AniMessenger May Check-in! Some Good News and Some Bad News

Greetings, salutations, and well-wishes, AniReaders.

As the winds of change toss and turn The AniMessenger like a discarded bag of Pocky, he lifts his eyes to the AniHeavens and whispers, “It is time.”

itistime

Yes, The AniMessenger must scale back, for now.

The bad news:

Due to variegated “real life” issues and Not-Enough-Hours-In-the-Day Syndrome, I will no longer write weekly reviews for Darling in the FranXX and Gundam Build Divers.

The good news:

To compensate for this grave malfeasance, your humble servant shall pen a “final review” for DarliFra upon its conclusion and will “Check-In” on Divers now and then with some mega-posts.

Fear not!

I hereby declare that the MHA reviews shall never, ever for-never end (unless they stop making episodes– in which case, I will unofficially continue the series via a succession of GIFs).

Also, excitingly enough, The AniMessenger is writing a novel! An anime-inspired Sci-Fi/Fantasy extravaganza–fully written but writhing uncontrollably in editing limbo!

Furthermore–stay tuned for a “fanfic” collaboration (with a soon-to-be named childhood friend and scholar extraordinaire). What about? Comedic things. Satire. Pokemon. Unmitigated madness. More to come!

stoked

Thank you all for continuing to stick with this wandering vagabond some call “The AniMessenger.” “Plus Ultra,” as they say!

And, please remember:

  3. I understand where you’re coming from when it comes to life issues. My blogging game has been much lighter this month and will be lighter next month because of life.

You’re writing a book? Awesome! I’d like to read it when it comes out. I have 4 books published already with more to come.

    1. That’s so cool! I’ll have to check out your books. And yeah, my schedule is packed enough that in order to do one thing I need to cut another 😐 Thanks for the comment!

I had to scale back too and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to do weekly reviews and stuff like that.

Glad to hear about you writing a book! Editing hell is annoying but there is an advantage to it: The longer you’re stuck in editing hell, the faster it will go the next time.^^

  5. All the best on your endeavours. I know keeping up with a blog can be time-consuming when other needs demand your attention (like writing a book, been there).
Do check in once in a while.

      1. I’ll unveil more plot details later, but it’s like a mixture of Inception, Brave New World, and Chronicles of Narnia with some shounen anime conventions sprinkled on top 😊

  6. A novel? Cool, are you gonna expatiate upon the details? Thanks for following my blog btw. I need to do more anime/japan related stuff, just been occupied with other stuff lately. When I go back to the international district here in Seattle Ill do some more stuff like that. And post my art when im confident in showing it lol

    We should trade writing ideas!

  7. Good luck with whatever it is that you’re dealing with irl right now. Whatever it is, try to make time for the things you love too, it’s okay to devote time to your health and happiness and it’s okay to take a break from whatever’s stressing you – love, a passing aniblogger.
